My Calling

"Go run an orphanage in Africa" were the words that the Lord gave me on Father's day 2007 while in a worship service at RockHarbor church in Costa Mesa. Since that day the Lord has taken me on an incredible path that has involved many tears of both joy and sadness. Throughout my life, He has remained faithful.


I first came to Tanzania in the summer of 2008 and the Lord confirmed my calling as the desire was placed there as well. He also gave me my first born, Awadhi. The Lord has taught me so much in my relationship with him over the last few years and its truly a blessing. I returned to California that same summer and began to tell people about all that the Lord did and how I knew that He was calling me to Tanzania long-term.

I connected again with the missionaries in Moshi and returned for a two month internship in 2009 working with a friend's organization. While working with them, through a divine series of events, I was offered a position as Education Director (and subsequently Business Manager) at Treasures of Africa Children's Home. It has always been, and remains to be, the number one place that I want to work in the world and fulfill the calling that the Lord placed on my life to eventually run my own children's home.

Us

After a five month stint in California, I was sent out with the love of my friends, family and churches and was released to my work in Moshi in January 2010. The first year of ministry has seen its ups and downs but the Lord has remained faithful and His grace and love are always there for me.


In the process of the first year, the biggest surprise has been the Lord bringing alongside me a partner. He wrote a beautiful story and now I find myself engaged to a wonderful woman of God named Melissa. We are set to be wed in June of 2011 in our home state of California.


The Lord is good and I'm so gracious for what He's done in my life and the people that He's brought up around me to be my family, friends and supporters. He is worthy of all that I have and I gladly give it to Him.
