The Garden Church of Long Beach, California is a congregation that is dear to my heart. Between the time that I left my internship in the summer of 2009 and the time that I returned to Moshi in January 2010, only one place could have kept me around for those five months. That place was Long Beach and the Lord called me there for a season to be a part of this wonderful congregation. I was previously their children's pastor as well as a life group leader for that season. Subsequently, I became their first sent out missionary.
ROCKHARBOR of Costa Mesa, California has been a tremendous blessing in my life for so many reasons, not the least of which they are current supporters of our work here in Tanzania. I attended this wonderful church for four years and was always blessed by the gatherings. Even more than that I was involved in an amazing life group that continues to play a support role in my life and I was a part of the children's ministry team for two years. I was first called to Africa during a service at this church and their heart is for people to go and fulfill the callings the Lord has given people. As people of integrity, they put their money where their mouth is and are faithful supporters of my ministry here.
First Baptist Church of Paso Robles, California is the church that I grew up in and has played such a significant role in my life. I received Jesus as my Savior at this church with a saint of a preschool teacher named Mrs. Glore. This church has many godly people that remain involved in my life, as well as the lives of my family members. This wonderful congregation has continued to walk with me as I've gone into the field of missions and remain both financial and prayerful supporters of our work.
Pacific Pointe Church of Irvine, California is another church that the Lord allowed me to serve at before coming to Tanzania. I was so blessed to be able to serve along the godly leadership as a children's pastor and a junior high pastor in their respective seasons. This church remains faithful to me and have sent me out with prayers and blessings to the work that the Lord has prepared for me here. This church is very special to me and I am so blessed by the partnership that we started when I was in Orange County and that which we continue today across the globe.
Maranatha Evangelical Free Church of Rice Lake, Wisconsin is the church that gets me out of California! Far more than that this is the church that my parents attend and are involved at and the church that I was dedicated in as a baby. In step with my parents involvement and my connection and love for the staff there, they have also come alongside me and helped me in the work that we are doing here. They are a wonderful congregation and I always look forward to visiting them and sharing what the Lord is doing.
