1. Prayer - Our work is fueled by those who intercede and pray on our behalf. Prayer is essential to keeping this difficult work going. There are any number of things to pray on and we need those Spirit led prayers so much.
- Pray for our children to grow up and love Christ and desire to lay their lives down for Him in whatever blessed calling He places on each of their lives
- Pray for the health of our children, staff, missionaries and just Tanzania in general. It is well recorded the physical ailments that beleaguer sub-Saharan Africa; from HIV and malaria to tuberculosis and meningitis and everything in between. We know that God is our healer and we love prayers aligned with that.
- Pray for financial provision. We are funded by compassionate people who have a heart for the country of Tanzania and these precious children. There are so many needs that come up that require regular access to money. Pray that the channels are open so that is always possible.
- Pray for favor and providence. The Lord has put it on our hearts to be expanding our ministry and we need prayer for that. We are looking into buying our own land and building a bigger and better children's home. We also need constant favor with the government that is all too often corrupt and disorganized. Pray for the Lord to be at work in their lives and for us to be in favor with those officials.
2. Give Money - As mentioned above, we are funded by outside donations. We believe in faith that the Lord provides our every need and that is most often through the giving of people who desire His will on earth. If you desire to give a general online donation to Treasures of Africa you can do that here and if you want to give to give to my personal account (I have to raise $25,000 per year), you can do that here. General donation checks and checks for my personal account (marked "TOA - Stiver" on the memo line) can be sent to... Treasures of Africa Children's Home P.O. Box 3267 Tustin, CA 92781
3. Come to Moshi - We do take teams to come work at TOA and that could potentially be arranged depending on specifics. If not, there is a wonderful missionary community here (linked on this page and mentioned in the blog frequently) that are also looking to have people come, serve and be blessed. There is plenty of work to do!
